🎨 Featured Artist Interview Preview: Rebecca Carr

This October, Art on the River will recognize two exceptional artists as our Featured Artists, and today we’re giving you a first glimpse into the story of Rebecca Carr

Rebecca’s incredibly detailed work may make you assume she has spent her entire life pursuing fine art. Her story, however, took a very different path.

From a career in aircraft maintenance and avionics to rediscovering art while watching her daughter sketch at the kitchen table, Rebecca’s journey is a wonderful reminder that there is no single timeline for becoming an artist.

In 2014, a Christmas gift of charcoal, pencils, and art paper helped begin a new chapter. What followed was years of learning, experimentation, portraiture, photorealism, airbrush training, and eventually award winning work.

🎨 The Smallest Art Movement You’ve Probably Never Heard Of.

Around the world, artists and collectors are embracing a growing movement centered around miniature original artwork called ACEOs.

ACEO stands for Artist Cards, Editions, and Originals.
