More about Bill...

Bill came to Enid in late 1975. He played drums and sang in rock bands until the oil boom came along, and then played country because that was where the work was.

His music is influenced by 90s and contemporary indie artists.

More about Mike & Adam...

Adam is on staff at Open Door Church, where he serves as worship leader. He also spent several years traveling coast to coast with a music ministry, singing contemporary Christian and gospel music.

Mike has been part of several local gospel groups and currently serves on the worship team at Sojourn Church. He's also no stranger to the Gaslight stage, having appeared in numerous Gaslight productions over the past 49 years.

And if you want to catch Mike on stage again soon, he'll be appearing in Gaslight's production of The Guys in the Turpin Theater on September 11 at 6:30 and 8:30 PM.

We're excited to welcome Sylvan Reynolds back for Turpin Tunes - August 2026 lineup! 🎶

If you've been to Turpin Tunes over the years, chances are you've seen Sylvan Reynolds on stage, or you have him to thank for helping make it all possible. As one of the original founders of Turpin Tunes, Sylvan helped shape the monthly music series into the community tradition it is today, and we're thrilled to welcome him back as one of this month's featured performers.

With musical influences ranging from Bob Dylan and Joan Baez to Willie Nelson, Leon Redbone, the Beatles, and Bob Wills, Sylvan's music blends folk, Americana, blues, and classic roots influences into a performance that's uniquely his own.

More about Sylvan:

Born and raised in Okeene, Oklahoma, Sylvan has been a fixture in the Enid music community for decades. After earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech Pathology from Oklahoma State University, he spent nearly 30 years with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services before retiring in 2001.

Over the years, Sylvan has shared his talents through countless community music organizations and events, including the Junior Welfare League Follies, the Chisholm Trail Barbershop Chorus, and the Enid Symphony Orchestra and Choir. He also helped launch A Fling at the Springs Music Festival and was one of the driving forces behind the original monthly Turpin Tunes concerts, coordinating the series during its early years and helping establish the tradition that continues today.

He's also performed with local bands Those Guys and the 15th Street Blues Band, and still enjoys taking the stage for Turpin Tunes and other community events whenever he has the chance.

When he's not making music, Sylvan enjoys life in Enid with his wife, Melody (perhaps the most fitting name for a musician's wife!) and their two cats.

More about Katie:

Katie is an Enid native whose love of music has been a lifelong companion. After spending time pursuing a career in the music industry, she released an album in 2009 that may not have launched the career she envisioned—but it taught her a lot and still earns the occasional BMI royalty check (which she jokes is mostly thanks to her dad streaming her album on Pandora).

These days, Katie continues to write songs while balancing life as a busy mom of five. She hopes to spend more time creating music again once her youngest decides it's okay for Mom to sing without the enthusiastic request to "STOP SINGING!" every time she picks up her guitar.

Katie studied music at Oklahoma State University and also serves as a cantor at St. Francis whenever she can. You can find her music on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and most other streaming platforms—just search Katie Mariah.

Making her solo musical debut, Lorinda McDaniel is bringing an eclectic mix of country, folk, jazz, pop, and R&B influences to the Turpin stage. Her set features timeless songs like "16 Tons" and "Fever," before friends Emily Nelson and Sarah Philips join her for a beautiful closing performance of "Didn't Leave Nobody but the Baby." It's a simple, heartfelt set that's all about great songs, great voices, and the stories they tell.

More about Lorinda:

Lorinda has loved singing and acting for as long as she can remember. Although family and career put her musical dreams on the back burner for many years, her passion for music never faded. She spent that time supporting Enid's live music scene, traveling, and performing in Gaslight Theatre productions, most recently Lucky Stiff.

🎶 Now, she's taking the stage for her very first solo musical performance with a collection of songs that have meant something to her throughout the years. Inspired by artists like Karen Carpenter, Cass Elliot, Wynona Judd, Linda Perry, and Dolores O'Riordan, Lorinda's musical tastes span just about every genre. She jokes that her guitar has been collecting cobwebs in the basement, but her love for singing has only continued to grow.

She'll close her set alongside friends Emily Nelson and Sarah Philips, making this debut performance even more special.

Lorinda is deeply grateful to the Turpin Tunes team for the opportunity to be part of this event, and to her husband, Christopher, whose encouragement and support have helped make this milestone possible.

Backstage Pass brings 14 years of experience to the stage, delivering the classic rock hits you grew up with, think Journey, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Janis Joplin, and the Doobie Brothers. No strangers to the Turpin stage, this crew always brings the energy, and there might even be a surprise guest or two joining them this time around.

The band features Tani Mahaffey and Jae Foster on lead vocals, David Roberts on bass, Steven Harwood on keys, John Bartolozzi on lead guitar, and Shawn Mahaffey holding down the drums.
