****WEATHER CLOSURE****

BAKERS PLACE will be closed Saturday night, January 31, 2026 due to the potential for unsafe weather conditions.

Current forecasts for Saturday call for a high of 24 degrees and a low of 13 degrees. Also included is a 35% chance for light snow in the morning. This, coupled with a Friday night low of 14 degrees and a Saturday high still below freezing, any precipitation will most likely refreeze on the roads early Saturday night.

With this forecast and your safety in mind, the decision to close was made by the band.

THE EXTREME COLD AND THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE FORECAST, COULD MAKE FOR A DANGEROUS COMMUTE HOME FOR MANY OF OUR ATTENDEES.

KEEPING OUR BAKERS PLACE BAND AND FRIENDS SAFE IS ALWAYS OUR NUMBER 1 PRIORITY.

****REMINDER FOR HOLIDAY SCHEDULE****

This Saturday, December 16, will be the Christmas party. I hear Santa will make an early visit to Bakers Place. Please come, dance to the music of the band, and enjoy an early celebration of the holiday season with your friends

December 23, next Saturday, Bakers Place will be closed so everyone can celebrate Christmas with their families.

December 30; Bakers Place will be open as a regular Saturday night. We regret that we will not be able to get together to ring in the New Year as that will happen on Sunday night.

********REMINDER*******

We are open this Saturday during our regular hours of 7 till 10 PM. Please come join us for great music and the best dance floor in East Tennessee (that is what I am told).

However, since there are local events in Englewood and Tellico Plains taking place on Saturday July 1 (an early celebration of the 4th of July) we are going to be closed. This has been the tradition for Bakers Place for many years. We encourage you to support our Tennessee Overhill communities of Mcminn, Monroe and Polk counties.

Etowah and Sweetwater will be having their celebrations on Tuesday July 4th. Benton, down the road in Polk, is having a breakfast in the park followed by a parade on the 4th.

As always, we truly appreciate your patronage of Bakers Place.
