Lemon Bay Playhouse is thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of "The Puzzle With The Piazza," a heartwarming comedy by Mark Dunn. Running from April 23-May 11, 2025, Wed-Sun.

This beloved play will run from March 5th to March 30th, 2025, with performances from Wednesday to Sunday. Play Summary
The year is 2000, the place: the basement rec room of septuagenarian Althea Witlin. Althea’s life is about to change in a very big way. Health issues are forcing her to give up her house and move in with her sister Ina across town. Perhaps just as important: the move requires Althea to give up all of her jigsaw puzzles. Yet there is this one puzzle, described by her new friend Leif Morrell as “the mother of all jigsaw puzzles,” which she’s never had the gumption to tackle. Together, Althea and Leif decide to defy the odds and try to finish this puzzle in the hours that remain before Althea must go. They are joined by next-door neighbor Mattie, learning to be newly independent after years in a group home, and by Leif’s wife Connie, who has come face-to-face with the realization that she and Leif can’t be biological parents. Together all four members of Althea’s “puzzle platoon” push personal challenges and problems to the side as they place gondolas upon the canals of Venice and pigeons into the bright blue sky above the piazza. The play is a bittersweet comedy about tenuous family ties and the bonds of friendship that lattice and enrich the final years of our lives.

Lemon Bay Playhouse is looking to fill a small part in The Odd Couple as one of the card players. A male aged 40-70 would be ideal. We are looking to fill the role as soon as possible.

If you're new to acting or have never acted before this could be the starter role for you!

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, Lemon Bay Playhouse brings you a heart-warming play With This Ring.

Tickets are $27 and available now!

With This Ring will open Jan. 15th and close Feb. 9th. With showings Wednesday-Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:00pm.

Written and Directed by Joe Simonelli - American Playwright.
A play written specifically with Valentine’s Day in mind, With This Ring is the story of a wedding band that travels over five generations and the visceral effect it has on those couples who come to possess it. The ring is first presented to an Irish immigrant by her husband at the turn of the nineteenth century. It then skips a generation in the 1960s as the couple’s grandson inherits it, has it inscribed, and presents it to his new wife, before it becomes a point of contention in the mid-80s between an estranged couple contemplating a divorce. At long last it finds its way to an engaged couple in 2007 and a special visitor who is coming from out of state for their wedding.
