🥰🥰 One of our student reviews from the Unpaid Employee workshops last night. It was a true success and just a reminder that I live for teaching and showing others what I know. I don’t claim to know it all, and will be a life-student, but it’s messages like this that remind me I’m on the right track.
Again, a special shoutout to my dear friend and colleague, Angel Peterson. We’ve become each other’s wing-woman for one another during trainings and workshops. Excited for our next team up— it won’t be long!

If you missed out on the Unpaid Employee workshop last night, it’ll be available on Skool tomorrow, and for those that attended the class last night, you all will have free access to both the Skool community and replay. 🫶🏽 thank you for attending! More to come soon 🙌🏽

WINNERS 🏆
City Park showed up on Saturday. So did you. Two names came out of the bowl:
Grand Prize — Katherine A. — ClariTone Laser Facial, face and neck, on our Lutronic Clarity II. Sun damage, redness, collagen. The whole conversation.
Runner-Up — Cristina R— iS Clinical Flash Brightening Peel. Same glow we were handing out at the booth, except this time you get the full length.
Both of you, check your texts.
And everyone else who entered — you’re not walking away with a handshake. Check your inbox 👀
Thank you Sakala + Inspired Warrior Project ®️ | Trauma-Informed Life Coach for building this thing three years running. Denver, you’re a good hang.

One ClariTone treatment. That’s it — one session.
I won’t tell you this is magic, because it isn’t, and melasma doesn’t work that way — it’s stubborn, it’s hormonal, it’s sun-triggered, and it comes back if you’re not protecting your skin. But one session did this. That’s the technology doing what it’s built to do: targeting pigment without wrecking the skin around it.
Quick science: ClariTone runs two wavelengths. The 755nm is doing the pigment work you see here. The 1064nm Nd:YAG setting is a separate mode built for collagen stimulation, and it’s safe across all skin tones — so this isn’t just a melasma treatment, it’s an option regardless of what tone your skin is. Super impressed with her overall skin texture and refinement from the collagen setting.
If you’ve been dealing with melasma, sun damage, redness, broken vessels, or just want collagen support that actually works with your skin instead of around it — this might be worth a conversation.
(This client gave full consent for her photo to be shared. If you’re a provider and need a solid photo/video consent template for your own before-and-afters, I’ve got one over on Drea | Aesthetics & Business Educator | 18 years practicing.)
Individual results vary; consultation required to determine if ClariTone is right for you.

Here’s a thing that doesn’t make for exciting content: the test spot.

It’s a few pulses in a small, discreet area at the settings I’m considering. Then we wait. That’s it. No transformation, no reveal, no dramatic before-and-after.
But it’s the difference between a treatment plan and a guess dressed up as one. Skin doesn’t respond to protocols, it responds to melanin, heat, and whatever it’s been through lately. Two people can walk in with the same concern, the same device pointed at them, the same settings, and walk out with two completely different results.

Am I always testing? No. There are treatments I’ve done a thousand times on skin I know well, and confidence built on actual data isn’t the same thing as winging it. But the second I’m not 100% sure of the outcome, we test. New-to-me skin, pigment that provokes easily, recent sun, new medications, hormonal shifts — all of it earns a test spot.

Your face isn’t a place to find out.

Happy Birthday to our girl Noel 🖤✨

From day one, you’ve come in with heart, hustle, and the kind of energy you can’t teach. Watching you grow into your craft, build confidence with clients, and start getting LOVE like this… yeah, I’m proud as hell.

These reviews? Not luck.
That’s consistency, care, and you actually giving a damn about people when they’re in your chair.

And let’s be real — not every new esthetician comes in ready to work, learn, and show up the way you have. You’ve earned this.

We’re just getting started… and if this is year one energy?? Whew. They’re not ready for you.

Go wish her a happy birthday and show her some love 🥂💌

What a whirlwind this past week! Thank you to everyone who came to sit at my table for the annual fundraising event.
This has been my fifth year as a table captain and AM Aesthetics hosting facial days for the participants actively working with the bean.

Right now in the chaos of our world, it can feel overwhelming and like we’re not doing enough, or what can be done? But coming together in a room surrounded by like-minded people choosing to put out a hand and help the women up of our community is a reminder that we are on the right track; we will prevail, FDT!
This organization means a lot to me, so thank you again to those who are new and those that have shown up year after year. 💚🙏🏽

PS sorry we didn’t get pics of everyone, but special shout out to:

Donations are always accepted, so if you didn’t get a chance to attend, please head over to www.womensbeanproject.com, donate, buy some beans for your crockpot, maybe a snack or two. They have amazing desserts and GF options, too! Also check out their retail store west on Alameda from I-25.

Laser hair removal, but make it honest. ⚡️
Here’s what most ads don’t say: your skin tone, hair color, sun habits, and even self-tanner all matter when we build your laser plan. There is no one-size-fits-all setting — and if someone’s treating you like there is, that’s the red flag.
At AM Aesthetics we:
• Customize energy settings for your unique melanin + hair contrast
• Adjust protocols for deeper + tanned skin instead of saying “you’re not a candidate”
• Strategize around sun exposure, travel, and seasons (yes, summer laser is possible)
• Prioritize safety, not just “max power and pray”
If you’ve ever been told:
• “Laser isn’t safe for your skin tone,” or
• “Just do a package, everyone needs 6,”
…it’s time for a second opinion.
Book a laser consult (link in bio) and let’s talk about:
• Your skin tone + hair type
• Your sun lifestyle (real talk, not judgment)
• What’s actually realistic for results + budget
Inclusive laser. Honest expectations. Real strategy for your skin in Denver.

Join me for lunch April 22 at the Seawell Ballroom at 12pm for the annual Ready Set Grow event for the Women’s Bean Project. It’s just about an hour and the purpose is to raise funds to continue employing chronically unemployed women, breaking cycles, and creating positive trajectories and real change in their lives. Meet some of the participants, hear their stories, and why WBP matters and is a staple in our Denver community 💙
Ya in? DM me your email address and any dietary restrictions.
If you can’t make it, but still want to donate, please send me your email so I can share the virtual link with you and gather your contribution under my table.
