About the Play
Marvin's Room is a deeply moving and surprisingly funny family drama about love, responsibility, and the complicated bonds that hold families together.
After spending nearly two decades caring for her ailing father Marvin and her eccentric aunt Ruth, Bessie receives devastating news of her own: she has leukemia and needs a bone marrow donor. Her estranged sister **Lee**, who left years earlier to build a different life, returns with her two sons in hopes of reconnecting and helping Bessie through her illness.
