Okay! I just completed another deep dive into my characters’ backgrounds, issues, motivations, and challenges. In the process, their arcs are practically writing themselves. I know many playwrights work in silence, but for me this is both a play and an ongoing therapy session. Each character has a personal connection to me in sometimes subtle ways, but it is still there nonetheless. Regardless of what emerges at the end, this has been a cathartic experience!
