Just like fingerprints are not identical, I believe that no paw print is identical. Our pets come into our lives, sometimes expected, sometimes unexpected. Regardless of how or why, they end up being our best friend, our confidant and a huge part of our family. When they leave this earth, the void, the heartache, the yearning to turn back time, to have a little bit longer with them, crushes your soul. The grief is unbearable. What you are left with are the memories, and that unique paw print that is forever embedded on your heart
With that being said it is with a very heavy heart that I can say, our family lost a very special dog....Lucy.
Lucy (Aka-Mygoosa) I found you on Washington Avenue, after boys that were walking you on a string, had just let you go and ran away. Immediately, I scooped you up and brought you to the dance studio, where instantaneously, Laur (your mommy), fell in love with you. You went from being a homeless puppy 17 years ago, to the most loved dog in Endicott. You were the studio mascot, and represented us in the Holiday Parades as well as many local events. You acquired a taste for my chapstick, cherry was your favorite, and you stole our hearts. We have 17 years of memories with you, and of course that wasn't enough. Saying goodbye to you brought back a swarm of memories, that i will forever hold close to my heart. You were the best "Lulu", except when you would take grandma's shoes and chew them (hahaha).
You are pain free now puppy, and are going to be missed so much. Watch over your mommy, because her heart is hurting like she never thought it could. I love you girl...fly high and run happy and free.
Love,
Sissy
