Why do I do this? In 1995, my sister introduced me to a few signs when I came to babysit nephews (hearing). It helped me so much during the next few hours, I was astounded. This opened my world to the connection gained through Signing with babies and saw how benefits continues as they grow up through my own children. I started teaching ASL Signs as a helpful tool for hearing families in 2002 after I saw the deep and broad benefits taking place, and continued education in ASL language and Early Child Development. Its the process of using ASL that creates the magic, it connects people with eye contact while creating trust in being seen and heard.
