Experience local history when you come to Empire Area Heritage Group in Empire, Michigan. Our site features a turn-of-the-century schoolhouse, a 1911 firehouse, and the Bill Beeman Barn. At our two-story main building, you will find a mid-century saloon, gas station, black smith shop, woodworking shop, and a beautiful sail-and-rail display. en on weekends starting Memorial Day until July 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and daily from July 1 through August 31 from 1:00 p.m. except for Wednesdays. You can also visit us on weekends from September 1 through October 14 from 1:00 p.m.
