Gem County Recreation District – Board Member Opportunity

The Gem County Recreation District is seeking a dedicated, community-minded individual to serve on our Board of Directors. Must live in District 2.

Board members play an important role in providing oversight and helping guide the future of the district. Responsibilities include establishing policies, monitoring finances, supporting long-term planning, and working collaboratively to ensure that our programs, facilities, and services continue to meet the needs of our community.

We are looking for an individual who is willing to be actively involved, ask thoughtful questions, contribute ideas, and work cooperatively with fellow Board members, staff, and community partners.

Grant writing experience is not necessary, but would be a definite plus, as the district continues to pursue funding opportunities to support programs, facility improvements, and future projects.

🍲✨ NEW! Little Pallets Culinary for Kids - September Edition! 🏠

We’re going rustic and international with dishes you only find simmering in homes!

Sept 11th @ 11am: First up is a bowl of comfort from Ireland — hearty Irish Yellow Broth with Ham, a savory, old-world soup made with tender ham and golden broth, just like you’d find simmering on the stove at home.

Sept 18th @ 11am: Next up is Pizzoccheri — a cheesy, rustic pasta from the Italian Alps layered with potatoes, greens, and melty cheese. It’s cozy, comforting, and totally hands-on!

Our new chain link fence is up! Huge thank you to Six Rivers Fencing for the great work and a very special thank you to the Idaho Community Foundation for the grant that made this project possible.
The fenced-in lawn will be much safer for kids to play, and we love how it turned out!
