Intentional details are some of our favorites to photograph, and Michael and Maryann's details were definitely sentimental.
Maryann decided on peonies for her wedding bouquet as a nod to her grandfather, as he had a peony farm when she was growing up. Additionally, when Michael first proposed to Maryann, he incorporated a bracelet made by his daughter; Maryann put that same bracelet around her bridal bouquet so that she'd have it with her throughout the entire wedding day.
Another wonderful detail that we loved photographing was Michael's engraved wedding band (& set against those beautiful peonies!).
These are the small but meaningful details that we really love capturing on a wedding day. 🤍
Not sure what personal details to incorporate? Below are a few ideas:
- Handwritten vows or a note on the bottom of your shoe/heel
- A bouquet charm to honor loved ones that have passed
- Something borrowed (you know the phrase "something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue!"), whether it be a piece of jewlery from a best friend or a family heirloom
- Customized bar napkins and/or a signature drink (oftentimes either a favorite of the bride/groom, or something named after a pet!)
- A personalized note to each of your guests (though this is a huge undertaking, it is incredibly thoughtful and will stick with your guests forever).
