Back-to-school season is not only for families with students. It changes the rhythm of entire communities.

Schedules tighten. Evenings get shorter. People start thinking about focus, routines, and the spaces where daily life happens.

That makes August a useful time to look at your walls with fresh attention. "In the Treetops" may be the kind of work that helps a room feel more intentional as the season shifts.

Paint the Masters featuring the work of Edgar Degas: The best way to learn a skill is to learn it from the best.

Edgar Degas is best known for his paintings of ballerinas and horse races. He often layered soft pastels with paint on colored paper.

During class you will:
1) Learn about the life of one of the world’s greatest painters;
2) Take a deep dive into the works of the artist;
3) Focus on a particular aspect of their style or technique that makes their work exceptional; and
4) Paint an 11”x14” acrylic painting mimicking one of that artist’s paintings, and guided by local artist, Rita Richetti.

Sept 20, Edgar Degas:
Cost $50 includes materials, 1pm -3:30pm

During class you will:

My roses are still blooming, how about yours? I'm enjoying the bit of cooler weather we are having, too. Much more fun pulling weeds in 60 and 70 degree weather than the 80's and 90's, right?

This weeks' hours:
Wednesday through Friday, 1 PM to 7 PM
Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM
Sunday, 9 AM to 2 PM

On Sunday, August 30th, we will be having our monthly artist reception, with lite refreshments, delectable cookies from . Everyone is welcome! Come on down to Emmaus for the day and experience all this walkable little town has to offer, starting with the .
