Neighbors, Friends and Fam, lets step outside tonight together to honor Alex. To honor Renee. For our loved ones who are missing. To share and to gather strength for everyone who is struggling. Tonight we grieve, in whatever that looks like for each of us. And tomorrow we begin again. A chorus of voices embodying the beauty and resilience of the North. We have each other. “I know that we can win. I know that greatness lies in you. But remember from here on in, history has its eyes on you.”

Tattooing is, from its earliest origins, self expression evolving from an individual’s personal journey. The relationship between tattooist and client is unique - built on mutual trust, communication and respect. I believe that a relationship of mutual respect is central to healthy human interaction. Everyone has the right to respect and dignity.

As tattooed people, we have historically identified, or been identified as, creative non conformists on the fringes of society. Current threats to individual freedoms and critical, creative thinking are at odds with the Creative Spirit.

I encourage each of you to be the weirdo who dares to life fully, completely and authentically. Allow Creativity to steward a revolution in your heart. At AWP we honor that journey and honor each of you.
