A quick & easy job done for a local family. Customer wanted her orange brick fireplace whitewashed during the remodel of their living room. Loved doing it! Can’t wait to see the whole room come together. Thanks for trusting me with this job, Susan! Kimmie, thanks for hooking us up!

New Attic Window Coming Soon! Installation - this weekend!

Stained glass window for the attic to replace the clear glass piece that fell out and broke during a storm. ☔️ 🌈 🖼️

Rowan and I made this together and he picked a lot of the colors. If you don’t know, Rowan is my mini me and we both have a bit of a My Way or The Highway attitude, so it was quite an ✨experience✨ & an exercise in patience for us both. 💛

Shout out to my man, Christopher David McClaskey for measuring the window & building the frame. I can’t wait to see it up and glowing!

First piece of art for 2025!

Found this pattern online, removed background, converted it to an SVG, uploaded it to Cricut, sized appropriately, cut on vinyl, numbered vinyl pieces, placed 60 pieces on glass of choice, cut glass, grinded glass, removed vinyl, washed each piece with Dawn Dish Soap, copper foil taped, placed together like a puzzle, recut 2 pieces I broke when cutting, tack welded, soldered, attached jump rings & chain, scrubbed entire piece with dawn to remove Flux so the metal doesn’t mold, polished. Took approximately 8.5 hours total.

Ringing in the New Year with a new piece of Stained Glass! 🌼 🌺 ☀️

Watched It’s A Wonderful Life with Chris, per our tradition. ❤️

Got a very thorough tour from Eli of Adam Little’s Lego Christmas Village. Thanks for the invite, Jen & Adam! 🎄

Watched the Ball Drop & Fireworks with the kids (C, E, J, H, R). They each drew a pic / wrote 2024 on a paper and threw it in the fireplace at midnight. 🎆

Had a lovely visit with our friend, Adam where we talked about the goals we’ve set for 2025 & how we’re going to make them happen. (Spoiler alert - for me, it’s a lot of coffee & The Big # # # Calendar 2025! 😉) ☕️

Thanks for being here for my art journey! I know it’s been a long and winding road. I know a lot of folks say artists shouldn’t post their art fails. To that I say, MEH, it’s whatever. I want to let other people see that it’s okay to try and fail at something. That’s one step closer than never trying at all. It’s all a learning experience. No wrong answers.

Good luck in the new year to everyone reading this. May you try one (or one million!) new things in 2025! Keep learning & experimenting, people. You’re not dead yet! 😉😘

All my love,

Brooke

So, a month ago or so, I got a set of 6 chairs for FREE! 😍 *Excited Brooke Squeal*

I scrubbed them with hot soapy water, then bleach, disassembled all 6, sanded down all the wood pieces, restained the wood, painted the cushions & put those puppies back together. 🪑

My goal was not to LOVE the chairs when I was done, but just to complete the set 100%. I have a goal of being a person that completes things… and I tend to stop 90% of the way through things and move to the next project. is usually my motto. Not this time. I am committed to completing them all the way before moving on to my next project.

I now know the meaning of true love, and it’s my good, sweet husband, friends, family & coworkers that have been hearing about these chairs nonstop for 30 days & not killed me yet.

Here’s the reveal for how it’s gone. I am on chair 5/6. It needs the back painted. This week’s goal is to finish the painting & reassembly of chair 6.

Chair 1 - Flower Frenzy
Chair 2 - Starry Night
Chair 3 - Bridge over Water Lillies
Chair 4 - The Scream
Chair 5 - The Kiss
Chair 6 - The Persistence of Memory

Thanks for looking and happy Sunday! ❤️
