Rich Weismantel - Drum Set While their music is essentially a hybrid genre of jazz/folk/pop, they never ignore good-old-fashioned songwriting. Part of them might be a ‘throwback’, but their blend of musical styles can easil

y find a pocket in the ears of contemporary listeners. This six-piece ensemble combines an assortment of acoustic sounds whether it is through rhythmically charged guitar, jazz oriented percussion or lilting vocal melodies. Their classical side also emerges through the bowed and plucked strings of violin and cello, as well as crooning saxophone lines. They strive to create entertaining music by incorporating frequent shifts of melodic focus, diverse rhythmic interests, and catchy melodies. They are praised for their original spin on the more well known songs that they cover. Their saxophonist, Thomas Lee, is their bandleader, creative director, and principal songwriter.

Dear Truthies,
This year has been hectic with our demo and planning for shows. While we have loved the support over the past year and change, we are saddened to say that after our May 7th show at Swing the Teapot we will be going on an indefinite hiatus. Make sure to catch what will be an honest good time. We still have special surprises planned. See ya then.

To all who are available, we invite you to attend Thomas Lee's Senior Recital TODAY! it will be in Lefrak Hall at Queens College's Aaron Copeland School of Music. time will be approximately 4 PM. WTI will play a shortened set. This will give you a taste of what's in store for the April and May shows.

For all you Queens College students, we are playing as a part of our cellist Courtney Strauss' recital on Friday March 18th. We'll be doing a short set of WTI originals and are super enthused to be a part of Courtney's performance. Be on the look out for some additional updates this week where you will get to meet our percussionist/drummer/post rock lover, Rich Weismantel.

We would like to thank the White Stripes for their musical contributions. Today they closed the door on their musical existence. Just like Jack and Meg did on all their records, Willoughby Truth, Inc. continually challenges themselves to be the best they can be. Thanks for inspiring us. Playing "Fell In Love With A Girl" at our next show will certainly be bittersweet.
