Runners are welcome to run on the Thomas Edison track, there will be water down at the track!
All activities will be inside the gymnasium!

Hello all!!

We know some people may be wondering if there is something they can do if they are unable to make it to the event. Don't worry there is! A huge part of Caitlins treatment and recovery are blood transfusions!

The next blood drive in Elmira NY, will be Thursday, April 24th 2025! This will be going on from 1:00pm to 6:00 pm! This is hosted by the American red cross at First Presbyterian church of Elmira, 1054 West Clinton st Elmira NY!

You can schedule and secure a spot online at redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-red-cross!

We are holding this Race for Caitlin to raise funds for the family of Caitlin Buchanan. Caitlin is a freshman at Thomas A. Edison High School and has recently been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma. She is receiving treatment at Strong Memorial Hospital including surgery and chemotherapy. She has a long road of treatments ahead of her and as we all know, this comes with added financial stress due to travel expenses and medical costs. All proceeds will go directly to the Buchanan family to assist with these expenses. Our goal is to lessen the financial burden on their family and to show Caitlin how much support she has behind her. Please join us for this event. Even if you aren't a runner, we will have music, food, raffle baskets, 50/50, and face painting by Painted Love. The race will be a friendly competition to run or walk as many laps around our track as you want to between 10-4. You can come at any time between these times and walk for as long as you choose. We will have recognition and prizes for the top three participants who complete the most laps in each age group. There will be additional fun activities from 11-2PM. The awards ceremony will be at 4:30PM with prizes for the three participants with the most laps in each age group.
