The countdown is on! We’re highlighting some of the amazing work created by our current students as we count down to the registration deadline for Pottery 101 and Pottery 102!

Check out this AMAZING little bowl by Pottery 101 student Kate Lechleidner! Her glaze work is absolutely beautiful (and I’m personally obsessed with this color combination 😍).

Want to create something like this yourself? Our next round of Pottery 101 begins Wednesday, November 4th, from 6–8:30 PM! Over the course of 10 sessions, you’ll learn the basics of wheel throwing and how to create bowls, cups, vases, and more. You’ll also get to experiment with glazes and discover how to achieve beautiful color combinations of your own!

👀 Looking for a fun after-school activity for your teen this fall?

Our NEW Teen Ceramics class starts the second week of August and is a welcoming space for teens to explore wheel throwing, handbuilding, sculpture, and more. Whether they're trying clay for the first time or building an art portfolio, they'll be able to explore their own interests and artistic visions through personalized instruction.

With very few schools offering ceramics classes—and some offering little or no art at all—this is a great opportunity for your teen to discover a new creative outlet, build confidence, and make something they're proud of.

Register today at appelfarm.org/register

Created by popular demand from our Pottery 101 students, our BRAND NEW Pottery 102 class is starting at Appel Farm in just a few short weeks starting Thursday, August 6th.

Pottery 102 is designed for students with prior wheel throwing experience who want to refine their skills and explore new creative possibilities. Learn advanced techniques, experiment with different clay bodies and glaze effects, and create more ambitious ceramic work with guidance from Teaching Artist and ceramicist Alissa Clayton.
