Today we welcomed Grays Harbor’s major media outlets to the Agricultural Barn for Media Day! It was a great opportunity to give our local media partners a behind-the-scenes look at what’s coming this year and let them experience some of the excitement firsthand.

A special thank you goes to our amazing 4-H volunteers, Shelby and Liam, who did a fantastic job leading demonstrations and sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm. Their hard work, confidence, and dedication truly showcased the spirit of 4-H and the opportunities our fair provides for local youth.

Also thank you to Commissioner Georgia Miller, our fair board members, the incredible fairgrounds staff, our volunteers, and superintendents who are such great supporters of the fair. The fair is a huge community effort and we are all working hard behind the scenes to get the fair ready for you all!

As a reminder, the Grays Harbor County Fair will take place July 29 – August 1, and tickets will be on sale soon! We’re excited to welcome everyone back and can’t wait to share another fun-filled fair with our community.

Sunday marked the last official day of the 4-H Sewing Workshop Series that began last fall, and the 4-H youth members who attended the sessions have handmade items that demonstrate the sewing skills they’ve acquired, from a pillow and pillowcase to a bowl cozy and market bag.

4-H Families: FairEntry is now open! Be sure to review the information below from Grays Harbor County 4-H regarding project entries, deadlines, and exhibit drop-off details.

Please note: This information applies to 4-H exhibitors only.

Open Class entry information for the Grays Harbor County Fair will be released soon, including details for Still Life exhibits, livestock entries, deadlines, and the 2026 Exhibitor Book.

4-H COUNTY FAIR ENTRY INFO – The FairEntry platform opens today at http://www.fairentry.com/Fair/SignIn/23268 for families submitting 4-H project entry information. Log in using the same email address and password as 4-H Online. Animal entries are due in FairEntry by Monday, July 6. After digital entry information is submitted, still life items are due at the WSU Extension Office (9a - 4p) in both Mason & Grays Harbor July 6-9, July 13-16 & July 20-23. Please contact WSU Extension staff or the 4-H Fair Committee volunteers to make alternate arrangements.

We are looking forward to seeing what 4-H clubs and members have been doing this year and are excited to use the FairEntry online registration platform again this year. Now that members have raised/trained animals, taken photos, made cookies/posters/creative arts, grew plants, built robots, gave presentations, hosted community service events, and more, it is time to explore the 4-H Exhibitor Guide, which describes opportunities and entry details. When the lights went out in Elma today, the story could have ended there.
But this is the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds and Event Center. 🍷✨

The power went down. The generators kicked on. Glasses clinked, music played, and the Wine Festival carried on without missing a beat. What could have been a setback turned into a moment that reminded us why events like this matter. Community, resilience, and a little bit of magic when people come together.

The Elma Wine Festival is happening right now until 9 PM, hosted by the Elma Chamber of Commerce, and we are proud to be the home base at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds and Event Center.
