Midwest Vocal Express

We had lots of fun singing, cheering and tagging at the LOL District Convention over the weekend...and quite frankly, our voices (and the rest of our bodies!) need to rest. So you won't find us singing at Elm Grove Lutheran Church tonight like you normally would. But please do join us next Monday as we ramp up preparations for our Christmas show on December 20. We'll see you again on Monday, October 26th from 7-10 pm!

Last but not least amongst the Greendale Chapter quartets singing this Friday night at the Land O' Lakes District convention is contestant #35, Four the Fun of It! This Madison area foursome all sing in Forward Harmony, and lead Gerard and bass Brad also sing with The Capitol Chordsmen Chorus and Gerard also sings with MVE. Have a blast on stage!

It's our turn to continue MVE's long tradition of appearances on the international competition stage today. We can't wait to entertain the crowd in person as well as tuning in on the livestream right around 3 pm central time today. We'll "see you" at roughly 2:55 pm today - if you're not here, watch on the webcast at https://www.barbershop.org/livestream

The international convention in St. Louis starts tomorrow! 💈🎵

If you can't be there in person, make sure to follow Forward Harmony, the Midwest Vocal Express, and our members in other ensembles on the live-streamed webcast at https://www.barbershop.org/events/stl/livestream.

The $99 cost includes the opportunity to view archived performances next week, and interviews with each contestant after their performance. Here's a brief summary of when you can find Greendale Chapter members performing!

See that medal around our director Bryan’s neck? He won that in 2018 with After Hours and it means that he gets to sing on Friday night’s The Association of International Champions (AIC) show here in St. Louis! Although After Hours won’t be on the show this year, Bryan will be singing in the AIC Chorus. Purchase your tickets at https://aicgold.com/!

To say that we're proud of our own Tyler Leibengood would be an understatement. 💈🎵
Not only is he the current Barbershopper of the Year for Midwest Vocal Express, but it's appropriate that he's the tenor of Triple Threat quartet, who will be up 1st in today's quartet contest, because he'll also make a "triple" appearance in the chorus contest, singing with Forward Harmony, MVE, and also the Music City Chorus.
Break a leg, Triple Threat...and pace yourself, Tyler!
