Ellsworth Candlepin Alley

We will be closed tomorrow for everything except pool league in the evening! I am attending a friend’s wedding and only have one employee for that day! Thank you for understanding!

Met someone on my way to my friends wedding in North Carolina who grew up around the area in Massachusetts where Candlepin was invented so of course we talked Candlepin for a bit! It was nice to meet you Sarah! Love meeting people who grew up on Candlepin!

I unfortunately will be shutting down the bowling side today, my son and I have caught quite a cold.
Pool league will still go on normally but please be patient with the cook! I do not want to leave the responsibility of running the entire place to one employee, thank you for understanding!

We need more teams for our monday bowling league!
We need at least 1 more set of for people!
(You can join as an individual and we will make a team as we get enough people!)
We currently have 3 teams, we need at least 4, but up to 10, so help is out! Share this post! Tell your friends!
In the meantime monday league is delayed until October 19th so we can find more people!

All carpet has been ripped out and the new hardwood flooring for the entryway has been put down! So thankful to our maintenance guy for the hard work and dedication. He’s been putting into the place!

I apologize personally, and on the behalf of staff for the lack of communication. We have been scrambling and trying to get things running smoothly during all of these renovations. We are hoping to get things done as soon as possible to go back to a normal (but better!) operation!!

This has been so exciting!

A little look at what’s been happening behind the scenes at Ellsworth Candlepin Alley! 🎳

We’ve ripped out the old carpet, installed the new HVAC system, redone the bathroom floors, and taken down the old ceiling tiles. We’ve been putting the ceiling back together and painting the grid so it all looks fresh.

There’s progress you won’t see in these photos, too: new seating has been ordered, the drink coolers are stocked, and we’ve brought in a whole lot of supplies to get ready for what’s ahead. We’ve also hired two new employees, with plans to hire another in December! New kitchen equipment was ordered so we have two brand new fryers ready to go as well to help food get out faster!

A huge thank-you to The Jackson Laboratory for donating so many lockers and seats to the alley. That generosity means so much to us, and we can’t wait to put them to use. ❤️

There’s still more to do, but seeing these changes come together has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has supported the alley and helped make this possible. We’re excited to keep showing you the progress!

Are you guys ready for some update pictures!!! We’ve got so many things underway.. which means it’s not totally gonna look the best right now.. but it’s progress!!

Also be thinking of one of the employees, we are gonna pick on him that he won’t be here but not too much because him and his (soon to be!) wife are about to welcome a little one in the coming days!!! Congratulations to Garrett and Alysse!

Right now Sean and I are getting ready for the new flooring!

P.S. I see your messages, I just really need to buckle down! We need to get this down before people come in so we are working as much as we can! Please make reservations online instead of messaging or calling right now! Once the ceiling tiles and floor is done is when I’ll be able to not rush as much!
