Sunrise in New England 🥰
5x7” and 14x18” coming up

It took me some time to find sunrise pic reference but I found the one I wanted to paint. And yes, lately I have been very picky about what scene I want to paint. 😁
After completing a small study, I found a perfect color combination that I am using in a bigger painting (half way there).
These small studies taught me a lot and for sure great way to figure out if it will go nicely on a bigger project or not.

The other day I was sharing my small studies, this is one of them that I decided to paint larger.
So here’s the update. Because the subject of the painting is very simple, I was looking for something like this, I didn’t want any complicated scenes or something that requires lots and lots of details. I usually paint lots of drama in the sky and that requires a lot of time and in this case that’s not what I was looking for.
So the study is 5 x 7” on the gesso board and new painting that is coming up will be 24 x 36“ Vertical format.
The only thing is that, I cannot come up with an interesting name for this artwork.
I would appreciate if you could suggest me something in comments below.

Glazing a painting is one of my favorite techniques, although it does take time and you have to wait for the artwork to fully dry but with that technique it can add depth and more different affects to an art piece.
In this case, last pic in this slide shows artwork before glazing, you can see pebbles were too light and too pronounced, in this case they needed to “sit” deeper in the water and glazing was my best option.
So, with a couple coats of glaze and some work around horizon line and bringing colors together I think I am happy with it.
Can you tell the difference?
Did I achieve realistic look?

Sharing one of my favorite art pieces I have recreated 3 times in this case😁
As I am working on my first small collection of seascapes, I went over some of my past paintings and saved reference ideas and there is something so special about sunrise 🌄. I am not an early morning person myself, but when we travel to the beach for vacation, I love waking up early and walking down the beach, feeling that fresh air and cool water. There is something magical about that connection with nature. Makes me feel very peaceful but then gives me lots of positive energy for a whole day.
This was my first sunrise painting I have done and now I would like to create another kind of sunrise with a different vibe. Will be sharing that very soon, as would like to release collection of “Sunrises /Sunsets” mid March.

The Marshes of Cape Cod

⛅️Living in Massachusetts, I was lucky enough to visit this beautiful island few years ago and was amazed of how many marshes there are. Also, breathtaking sunsets is a thing🌅! So, inspired by those memories this artwork was born.

“Romance” is my recent artwork. Reference picture got me for its glowing, burning sunset that has a lot of glow on the water. It was a bit challenging to paint rocks and moving foam on the foreground but I love how it came out.
Does it remind you of any vacation spots? Because to me it is so romantic and atmospheric, something to remember for a lifetime 😍
