Downtown Roy

Downtown Roy Good time band playing covers and originals of Americana blues, oldies, country, bluegrass, and folk genre. Frank Enes sings, and plays bass, and harp.

Once upon a time… there stood a general store out Roy Road, in Northeastern Gilmer County, Georgia where gold prospectors would gather to buy provisions, send mail, and just "loafer"-around. Now, where the store once stood, is the home-base for a few local pickers known as “Downtown Roy”. Dan Worley sings, plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, and every other instrument known to man. Dr. Steve “Possum” Jones sings, and plays mando-caster and harp. Don Roberts sings, and plays rhythm guitar. "Diamond" Bill Craig drives the band from the percussion throne. Together, Downtown Roy covers favorite and obscure tunes from the Kingston Trio to Pink Floyd.
