Naughty or Nice: Between the Covers

A Bookish Holiday Craft Night with The RBP × Next Chapter Collective

Saturday, November 21 | 4–7 PM

$40–$55 | Ages 18+ | All supplies included

All we want for Christmas is a fictional man with questionable morals and an unnecessarily tragic backstory.

The RBP and Next Chapter Collective are teaming up for a holiday craft night that’s equal parts bookish, festive, and mildly inappropriate.

Are you on the Naughty List or the Nice List?

NICE LIST: Decorate a ceramic Christmas tree with paint, rhinestones, pearls, and all the festive embellishments your heart desires.

NAUGHTY LIST: Build your very own book boyfriend from a concrete peen. Shadow daddy? Cinnamon roll? Walking red flag with a heart of gold? The possibilities are as endless as your questionable taste in fictional men.

CAN’T DECIDE? GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!

Why choose between Naughty and Nice when you can be both? Make a tree AND a peen, because apparently you’re on both lists this year.

Choose your adventure:

* $40 — Nice List: Ceramic Christmas tree
* $40 — Naughty List: Concrete peen
* $55 — Best of Both Worlds: One tree + one peen

We’ll provide the paint, rhinestones, tiny accessories, craft stash, and absolutely no judgment about your creative decisions.

Meanwhile, Next Chapter Collective will be parked outside with their mobile bookstore, stocked with holiday romances, romantasy, spicy reads, and plenty of opportunities to add to your already out-of-control TBR pile.

Your ticket includes:

* Your selected craft project(s)
* Full access to our decorating supplies and craft stash
* Three hours of crafting, yapping, and questionable decisions
* The opportunity to browse and shop Next Chapter Collective’s mobile bookstore (books sold separately)

Saturday, November 21 | 4–7 PM

Ages 18+ | No crafting experience necessary | All supplies included

Bring your bookish besties, your holiday spirit, and your questionable taste in fictional men.

Because the best book boyfriends are fictional, and the best holiday decorations are handmade.

Tuck Everlasting: Cozy Fall Edition

Wednesday, November 25 | 1–4 PM | $45 per person

No school, Thanksgiving prep is in full swing, and everyone could probably use a break from cooking, cleaning, and being in the house together.

Sounds like a good time to make something.

Escape the holiday chaos and join us at The RBP for a cozy fall edition of Tuck Everlasting, our no-sew Kinusaiga fabric art workshop! Bring the kids, bring a friend, bring your visiting relatives, or sneak away for a few hours of creative peace and quiet.

Kinusaiga is a Japanese art form that uses fabric tucked into grooves to create beautiful, quilt-like designs without a single stitch.

Choose from five cozy fall designs:

* Pumpkins
* Acorns and autumn leaves
* Mushrooms
* Fall florals
* Cozy mug and sweater sleeves

All five patterns will be available at the workshop, so you can choose your favorite when you arrive!

Workshop Details

* When: Wednesday, November 25, 1–4 PM
* Cost: $45 per person
* Project: One 6-inch Kinusaiga piece in an 8-inch wooden frame
* Includes: All fabric, supplies, tools, frame, and instruction
* Experience: Beginner-friendly! No sewing experience required.

This is a great activity for creative kids, teens, and adults alike. Younger makers may need a little help from their grown-ups.

Whether you’re looking for a family activity while school is out, something to do with out-of-town guests, or three glorious hours where nobody asks you what’s for dinner, we’ve got you covered.

All the cozy fall vibes. None of the sewing. Or Thanksgiving dishes.

NEW ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED: Princess Donut, but make it quilt art.

You’ve been asking for Dungeon Crawler Carl events at The RBP, and we’re finally delivering our first craft inspired by the gloriously unhinged book series by Matt Dinniman!

ALL HAIL PRINCESS DONUT.

We’re celebrating everyone’s favorite royal feline from Dungeon Crawler Carl with a kinusaiga workshop featuring Princess Donut herself, complete with her signature crown, sunglasses, and an appropriately ridiculous amount of fabulousness.

Kinusaiga is the Japanese art of creating quilt-like designs with fabric, without sewing a single stitch. You’ll use colorful fabrics and patterns to bring our favorite dungeon-diving diva to life in a framed piece of art.

No sewing skills, crafting experience, or surviving the dungeon required.

WORKSHOP DETAILS

WHEN: Saturday, November 7 | 1–4 PM
WHERE: The Resting Bitch Place
COST: $45 per person
INCLUDES: All supplies and a framed masterpiece to take home
EXPERIENCE: Absolutely none required

REWARD UNLOCKED:

+1 Crafting Skill
+10 Fabulousness
+1 Glorious Princess Donut masterpiece for your personal inventory

Whether you’re a seasoned crawler or just here for the crafts, you’re welcome at the table. Expect fabric, fandom, and an inevitable amount of Dungeon Crawler Carl discussion.

Goddammit, Donut.

You don’t need to sign up for a workshop, learn a new skill, or even finish a damn thing to find your people at The RBP.

Our recurring meetups are free, casual, and built around the idea that making things is better in good company. And sometimes the making things is secondary to the yapping.

Here’s what’s on the calendar:

Stitch & Bitch — Last Tuesday of the month, 7–9pm
For knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, and anyone with a half-finished fiber project and something to complain about.

Paper Jam — Third Wednesday of the month, 6–8pm
Scrapbooking, junk journaling, collage, card making, and an unreasonable attachment to tiny scraps of paper.

Okay, But Look at This — 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 7–9pm
Show & tell for grown-ass adults. Bring your latest hyperfixation, weird collection, niche interest, or something you’re ridiculously proud of. We WANT to hear about it.

Here We Are Anyway — 4th Sunday of the month, 10am–12pm
A space to craft, connect, or simply exist alongside other people carrying grief. No pressure to share, no expectations, and no pretending everything is fine.

All meetups work just like regular Craft & Yap:

* Bring your own project and hang out for FREE.
* Want to raid The RBP Craft Stash? It’s $15/hour.
* No experience necessary. No formal instruction. No pressure to be productive.

Come alone. Bring a friend. Make a friend. Sit quietly. Talk someone’s ear off about your latest obsession.

You don’t have to be good at crafting. You don’t even have to be particularly social.

Just show up as you are. We’ll make room.

Make things. Build community. Give a damn.

HONK IF YOU LOVE CRAFTS.

Don’t have a porch where a 60-pound concrete honker can live out its days? HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU.

We’ve teamed up with Andrew Griffith to bring you all the joy of a porch goose, without the need for an actual porch. Or a structural engineer.

Meet our 4” and 9” concrete geese. All the personality, a fraction of the commitment.

Paint them. Bedazzle them. Give them googly eyes, tiny hats, and deeply concerning backstories. We support your artistic choices.

Friday, November 20 | 7–9 PM | The RBP

Choose your goose:

* Baby Honker (4”) — $25
* Honkin’ Goose (9”) — $35
* The Whole Flock (one of each) — $50

Every option includes your new feathered friend(s) and full access to our craft stash for painting, bedazzling, and general goose-related nonsense.

No experience necessary. Questionable creative decisions enthusiastically encouraged.

Peace was never an option. HONK.
