We were thrilled to welcome the U.S. Secretary of Labor, Keith Sonderling, to the Borscht Belt Museum this week! His grandparents went to a Catskills bungalow colony and his father worked at Borscht Belt hotels and was a driver for Mendel’s Taxi in South Fallsburg, which drove Catskill hotel entertainment to their shows throughout the mountains. Excited to celebrate this special chapter in American history! 🇺🇸

✨ We’re still kvelling about this weekend’s Borscht Belt Fest! With comedy shows, live music, historical talks, our new museum exhibit, and a fantastic street fair, thousands gathered in Ellenville to keep the memory of the Borscht Belt alive.

⛰️ If you missed this year’s fest, come visit the Borscht Belt Museum! Our summer hours are 10-5, Tuesday through Sunday.
