In my world view, everything is alive. Everything has its own way of being. Yes, even the stones. Even my car. Stones are very slow spirit. My own body is slow spirit, a dense matter compared to the spirit of the invisible world of energy. My art, every single piece speaks to my awareness of the sacred intelligence that animates our entire universe.

The View From My Camp, Arizona. 14 x 30 watercolor and colored pencil. $840.00. This one took awhile to complete. We parked our trailer in a remote spot up a dirt road near Camp Verde. Gorgeous. I tried to paint for a few days but the bees kept attacking my hair, I had to retreat. So I finally completed this painting yesterday.

This is a real place. I was there recently - a Rogue River area landscape near Gold Beach, Oregon. The light streaming through the tree trunks and the tree tops rimmed with gold stopped me with my camera, just praying I could capture the quality of light.

This engaging guy is Ancient Owl. He lives in Nine Mile Canyon, Price, Utah. He was created by a Fremont artist over 1000 years ago. This owl's location is very well protected by an overhang and he looks so fresh, a message from the past- a positive message. I believe that many of the petroglyphs were created by artists with the same desire to draw beauty as I have. I photographed him with my iPhone in 2020 and today he comes to a new life with my brush.
