In cooperation with the Cecil County Arts Council, a new orchestra has begun to service Cecil, Harford, and Kent Counties, Maryland and bordering Pennsylvania/Delaware regions. The Northern Chesapeake Symphony Orchestra (NCSO) is accepting new member applications. What makes us Unique?

NCSO Director
Dr. Nelson Fritts has been an Arts Educator for 40 years, retiring in 2014 as Coordinator for Fine Arts, Cecil County. Previously he was Supervisor in Allegheny County and music teacher in both Hampshire County, WV, and Anne Arundel County, MD. He was State Supervisor Representative for the Maryland Music Educators Association (MMEA) Executive Board, State Superintendent’s Fine Arts Advisory Panel, and Arts Education in Maryland Schools’ HEAT. He received awards from numerous state agencies including the MMEA “Corwin Taylor Music Education Leadership Award." He now serves as guest conductor/adjudicator, conducts the Delaware Saengerbund, and is consultant for Kent County Public Schools.
