Another early start at Patchwork Poodle Quilt Co. 🐩🧵

Apparently sleep is optional when there are quilts waiting. 😂 Up before the sun again, coffee is coming, the longarm is humming, and we’re already making progress before most alarm clocks have even gone off.

One of my favorite things about longarming is that the machine doesn’t care if it’s 3 AM or 3 PM—when inspiration (or insomnia 😅) hits, we can get to work!

There’s just something peaceful about these early mornings: a quiet house, a quilt on the frame, and watching those stitches come together one row at a time.

Another quilt in the works at Patchwork Poodle Quilt Co. — because apparently we keep banker’s hours… just for a bank on the other side of the world. 😂

Three quilts finished out of 8 this week, three completely different personalities—and this is exactly why I love longarming. 🧵

From bold batiks and movement, to classic stars, to those gorgeous earthy scrappy tones… watching each quilt transform once the quilting starts never gets old.

There’s something pretty satisfying about taking a finished top, loading it on the frame, hearing that longarm start buzzing, and watching all that texture bring it to life.

These beauties are officially OFF THE FRAME and DONE! 🙌

And the best part? There are plenty more waiting their turn. I’m currently accepting more quilts for longarming, so if you’ve got a quilt top sitting in a closet waiting to become a finished quilt, send me a message!

🌙 2:30 AM at Patchwork Poodle Quilt Co.

Is 2:30 in the morning a pretty time to be quilting? Absolutely not. 😂
Is the quilter looking particularly pretty at 2:30 AM? Also absolutely not.

But you know what is pretty? The quilting. 🧵

One of my favorite things about longarming is that the machine doesn’t care what time it is. When sleep isn’t happening and the rest of the world is quiet, I can head to the quilt room, fire up the longarm, and make something beautiful.

So here I am—glasses on, hair doing whatever it wants, and the longarm humming away before most people’s alarms have even thought about going off.

🧵 A little Patchwork Poodle update—and some exciting things are coming! 🐩

With a change in my job situation, I’m going to have something I haven’t had nearly enough of lately… MORE TIME TO QUILT! 🙌

That means Patchwork Poodle Quilt Co. will be accepting more customer quilts for longarming! If you’ve had a quilt top sitting around waiting to be finished, now is a great time to get on my schedule.

I’ve also had quite a few people ask if the quilts you see me posting are for sale. Most of what you see coming across my longarm belongs to my wonderful customers, but every once in a while I do have a quilt of my own available—or you’ll see me working on one that is being donated to charity. ❤️

Because of all the interest, I’m working on creating a new platform where you’ll be able to see and purchase quilts that are actually available for sale. I’m pretty excited about this next step, so keep an eye on the page—more details are coming soon!

More quilting. More customer quilts. More finished quilts available for new homes. And probably a whole lot more sound of that longarm humming around here. 🧵🐩

Another beauty is making its way across the longarm! 🧵✨

I’m loving everything about this one—the classic stars, warm browns and rusts, touches of blue and green, and those gorgeous borders. But the quilting is what really brings it all together. Watching the texture appear row by row never gets old.

There’s something pretty satisfying about taking a beautiful quilt top and giving it that final layer that makes it feel finished.

The machine is humming and Patchwork Poodle Quilt Co. is getting another one done! 🐩

There’s just something about watching a quilt come to life under the longarm. 🧵

I love how this swirling quilting design moves across all those rich blues, greens, golds, and earthy tones. Every pass adds another layer of texture and suddenly the piecing starts telling a whole new story.

This one has been especially fun to watch transform. Sometimes you just have to stop the machine for a minute, step back, and appreciate how much quilting changes a top.

🎄 Christmas is officially on the longarm! 🎄

There’s just something about a Christmas quilt that makes me happy—even when I’m working on it before most people have had their first cup of coffee. 😂

This one is full of those classic Christmas colors, sweet little snowmen, and all the cozy, handmade charm that makes holiday quilts so special. I’m having fun watching the quilting bring each section to life, one stitch at a time.

Before long, this one will be off the frame and ready for Christmas snuggles. ❤️💚

🍂 Fall is officially on the longarm! 🥕🧵

There’s something about these warm oranges, fall florals, and those adorable carrots that just makes me ready for cooler mornings and everything autumn.

This one came off the longarm with a beautiful flowing quilt design that adds plenty of texture without taking away from all that gorgeous piecing. And that border? It framed everything perfectly.

Another quilt finished and ready for its next chapter. ❤️

One of my favorite things about longarm quilting? It works on my schedule. 🧵

I was up again this morning before the sun, coffee going, longarm humming away, and binding being made while most of the world was still asleep.

That’s the beauty of building something of your own. You don’t always have to carve out a perfect 8–5 schedule. Got a couple hours before work? Quilt. Can’t sleep at 2:30 AM? Quilt. Have a free Saturday morning? Let that machine RUN.

And the best part? Those hours can turn into extra income.

Longarming can start as a hobby, become a side hustle, help pay for your quilting obsession 😂, or grow into a real business. You get to decide how big you want to make it.

There’s just something pretty satisfying about watching a quilt roll across the frame, hearing that machine buzz, making binding at sunrise, and knowing you’re creating something beautiful and building an income at the same time.
