Went to the Milwaukee rock and fossil show today with Archimedes Azure Creations ! So much fun looking at all the shiny rocks. I restrained myself but get some fun cabochons and nice palm stone.

Meet Sam Ford, a senior at Elkhorn Area High School who has been selected for an incredible opportunity to travel to Europe with the Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music! 🎶🌍

Music has been a major part of Sam’s life. Sam will serve as the 2026–27 EAHS Drum Major and has performed with the 2025 State Honors Band and at the 2025 Wisconsin State Music Conference. Sam also participates in Solo & Ensemble and every EAHS-sponsored band, while performing locally as a bassist with Vanilla on Vinyl and the Rock Central Showrockers.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience will allow Sam to represent Elkhorn and Wisconsin on an international stage, using music to build connections and understanding across cultures.

The trip costs approximately $9,700, and Sam is working hard to raise the funds needed to make this opportunity possible. Every donation, no matter the size, helps bring Sam one step closer to this goal. Donations made to Wisconsin Ambassadors of Music Corp. on Sam’s behalf are tax-deductible and go directly toward the cost of the trip.

I want to start something community based and owned for the renaissance/fantasy/cosplay/larp communities. It could start with just small events and meetups. But it could turn into something really wonderful. Not just holding larger and better events but also creating more supports and connections through the communities. The cross section of incredible individuals that make up these communities is truly amazing. I know businesses owners, city council members, school board members, educators, media personalities, lawyers, medical professionals, and all sorts of other highly skilled and professional people that all love to play dress up. lol we could do a lot of good and have a lot of fun if we just connect some dots.

If this is something you are interested and would like to help and or be a board member don’t hesitate to comment or message me. I don’t really want to be in charge, I am not great at organizing. But I am motivated and will happily light the fire to get it started. Be the change, build it and they will come, and all that.
