I decided it was time for a name change.
And no, it isn’t because we are no longer Aphrodite. We are and we always will be.
This isn’t something I decided lightly. Changing a name that I have poured so much of myself into feels a little like starting over—and honestly, that’s terrifying. But sometimes starting over isn’t losing everything you built. Sometimes it’s honoring how far you’ve come and allowing what you created to grow alongside you.
And this? This feels right.
Because somewhere along the way, this became about more than beauty, sensuality, or learning to love the person staring back at you.
Because sometimes, loving yourself doesn’t look beautiful.
Sometimes it looks like finally facing the parts of your own story you spent years trying to outrun. It looks like admitting where you failed, apologizing for the hurt you caused, and understanding that taking responsibility does not mean carrying the blame forever.
Sometimes it means realizing you can love someone with your entire soul and still refuse to let them destroy you.
It means setting boundaries while your heart is breaking.
It means choosing peace even when guilt tells you to go back.
It means accepting that you cannot heal someone by continuing to bleed for them.
I know what it feels like to survive things that changed you.
I know what it is to look back and wish you had been stronger, wiser, or brave enough to leave sooner. I know the weight of wondering whether your choices hurt the people you were trying desperately to protect.
But I also know this now:
We are not required to spend the rest of our lives being punished for the person we were when we were simply trying to survive.
And every person who has walked through my doors has taught me another piece of that truth.
You have brought me your scars, your grief, your fear, your softness, and the pieces of yourselves you thought were too broken to be beautiful. I have watched you stand in front of my camera uncertain—and then slowly recognize the person who had been buried underneath everything life demanded from you.
You thought I was helping you rise.
But the truth is, you were helping me rise too.
This was never only my rebirth. It belongs to every person who walked through these doors carrying a story and decided that their story would not be where they ended.
A phoenix does not rise because the fire never touched it.
It rises because the fire did not get the final word.
So, together, we have rebirthed more than a name.
Welcome to Fenix Rising by Andi.
For every person who has survived.
For every person still finding their way out of the fire.
For every person learning that choosing themselves is not selfish.
And for every version of us that had to burn away so we could finally become who we were always meant to be.
We are still here.
And we will continue to rise. 🖤🔥
