Elkhart Community Chorus

Elkhart Community Chorus The Elkhart Community Chorus is a choir made up of music lovers in the Elkhart, Indiana area. http://elcochorus.org/forms/registration.aspx

We are a volunteer group, so if you would like to join us, sign up at this link, at any time! The Elkhart Community Chorus was originally conceived by Becky Wagner-Schooley as the Elkhart High School Alumni Choir, made up of former Elkhart High School choir members. Her goal was to perform at the opening of The Lerner Performing Arts Center (formerly the ELCO Theater) which was realized when the E

lkhart Alumni Choir was invited to be included in the grand opening on June 16, 2011. After the performance at The Lerner, the members decided to continue the group and open the membership to anyone who loves to sing and rename the the group the Elkhart Community Chorus. We meet on selected Thursday evenings from 6:30PM to 8:30 PM and Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM to Noon, but additional rehearsals are scheduled as required. We are currently accepting new members. What a wonderful way to close out another fantastic season! 🎶 Thank you to everyone who attended our concert, supported the ELCO Elkhart Community Chorus, and helped make this season such a success. We are especially grateful for the many collaborations and friendships that enriched our performances throughout the year. A special thank you goes to our partners, volunteers, musicians, and supporters who continue to make our music possible. While our season has come to an end, this is not goodbye, just see you later! Stay tuned for information about the start of rehearsals in August as we begin preparing for another exciting year of music-making. In the meantime, keep enjoying live music this summer by joining our friends from the Elkhart Municipal Band and the incomparable Jeffrey Scott Spradling at MacNaughton Park every Tuesday at 8:00 PM. Their concerts are free of charge and are a wonderful way to spend a summer evening supporting local musicians.

Thank you again for a memorable season. We look forward to seeing you in August at The Lerner Theatre and sharing more music with our community!

🎵 Have a great summer, and keep supporting the arts! 🎵

Our Soprano soloist for this Sunday’s concert, Lux Aeterna: In Memory of Michael Wade, is Grace Parry. Grace is based in South Bend, Indiana, where she is completing the final semester of her Master of Sacred Music at the University of Notre Dame. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (Classical Voice) from Brigham Young University, where she performed for four years with the internationally acclaimed BYU Singers. During her tenure with the ensemble, she toured extensively across Indonesia, Vietnam, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Spain, engaging diverse audiences through choral artistry at the highest level.

An accomplished performer, Grace has earned recognition in both choral and solo arenas, distinguishing herself in numerous competitions. Most recently, she was awarded Second Place in the Advanced Classical Treble Category at the Indiana chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition.
