I am asking anybody who receives this to help us market this amazing property by sharing. It is a challenge to market because it is unusual. We lived in the upstairs loft residence full-time for 15 years, and part time now for 9 years, since we opened another movie theatre in Ames, Iowa. We love it! It has 11’ tall ceilings with transom windows over the doors and a beautiful view of the Turkey River, including the historic Keystone Bridge and the dam behind the local library. The reason it is difficult to market is because it is against the rules of Realtor.com and Zillow to list it there, because it is technically a commercial property. But to us, it has been home! It is a one-screen movie theatre on the main floor, with a 3000+ square foot residence upstairs. There are also 2 side offices on the main floor with large picture windows and entrances from the street and from the lobby of the theatre. You would live within walking distance of several bars and restaurants, the grocery store, a pharmacy, an optometrist, the library, two banks, churches, a hospital and the high school. So many possibilities! It has been on the market for a year only because we had an accepted offer in September of 2025, and sadly, that sale fell through. So, it’s now back on the market.
