Our newest escape room, Lost on Nowhere Lake, is officially open!
This room took a village to complete! We had several local builders help with different parts of the project, Muralist Tony Stafki absolutely killed it on the mural work, and Matt, Kelsy and the crew from Escape Hour Vineyard came in at the end and helped us turn a bunch of separate ideas into one complete experience.
We really wanted to get away from the feeling of walking into a room, finding a bunch of locks and working through a checklist of puzzles. Nowhere Lake has sound, lighting, electronics, physical effects, scents, custom props and clues that come at you in different ways. You’re going to have to look, listen, touch things and actually pay attention to what’s happening around you.
During playtesting, we kept hearing basically the same comment from people:
“It feels like Disney or Universal or something!”
Nowhere Lake is family friendly and can hold up to 7 players.
The Story:
You and your friends hired two guides to take you deep into the Arctic, where the temperature never rises above freezing. After traveling by snowmobile, your group set out on snowshoes and made it miles from the sleds before the weather suddenly turned. Heavy snow moved in, visibility disappeared, and your group became separated from the guides. The last thing you remember hearing is that you were somewhere along the shore of Nowhere Lake.
Through the storm, you spot an old fishing shack and head inside for shelter. It belongs to some fella named Henry, but hes not inside. With no one knowing exactly where you are, can your group search the shack and figure out a way to call for help before it’s too late?
And if you want to try and escape our other room, The Chamber, you have a little time left. It will continue running through Halloween. After that, we’re tearing it down and starting on the next room.
