Reaper's Wrath has been giving guests nightmares since 1995. But now the end is here. We've grown over the years, quadrupling the size of the haunt and working with more than 20 volunteer employees on any given night. We donated nearly 4 tons of food to the Sacramento Food Bank in the last three years we were open. But...even the undead get tired. It was a good run, and we've decided to retire from the haunting business.
Building this haunt has taken nearly 6 months out of the year the last three years. We loved every minute of it but it was HARD work. With friends and neighbors we built props, painted, worked on special effects, makeup, costumes, sound, lighting and much much more. Now we'll finally have time to visit the other amazing haunts in the area.
Also, we will finally have time to post photos here, both of the haunt and behind the scenes. We encourage you to share your experiences with Reaper's Wrath. Tell us what year was the best or what your favorite room was.
It's been a real pleasure putting on Reaper's Wrath for so many years. We have so many fond memories of guests wetting their pants, grown women having complete mental breakdowns and the Sheldon Football team running through screaming and crying like a bunch of 4th grade girls.
Thanks to each and every one of you that helped to make the haunt happen each year by volunteering or donating food. Please consider continuing to give to the Elk Grove Food Bank during this season in memory of Reaper's Wrath Haunted House.
