This cute, funny & sweet little painting was commissioned by to surprise his wife on her first Mother’s Day! I can’t believe how many new and soon to be mothers I’m friends with. With squirmy’s due date now less than a month away, I’m feeling especially grateful to have these women in my life! Happy Mother’s Day ! I’m so glad to be able to help memorialize this time for you & am thrilled you like your painting 🥰

8”x8” oil on canvas, based on a photo I took in Sonoma this past summer. Pushing the boundaries of a new impressionist style I’ve been playing with lately. I’m pretty happy with the results! What do you think!? 👩‍🎨🎨

Last week .farrell made me realize I hadn’t posted this very photogenic fellow. Isn’t he handsome?! He was a gift for so had to lie low for bit. I swear I paint things other than dogs... will post evidence of that soon!

I’m proud to I have this new exciting painting to share! 😃 At 24x36” this is my largest oil painting and my first oil painting with an architectural element! It’s a commission for Jean Kimber & her fiancé, Aaron Utterback. The painting is of a family owned & operated farm which Aaron grew up on in West Virginia. It will hang with a painting I did for Jean back in college! I think Jean put it perfectly when she said the painting blends both our styles. Aaron, I hope your family appreciates it too & dad isn’t too reminded of all the things he needs to repair when he sees it!

They picked up their painting on after helping us consume our thanksgiving leftovers & engaging the worlds longest game of Catan. This has been a wonderful thanksgiving. I’m so thankful for all who have supported me throughout this crazy year of changes - especially Jake Teitelbaum. Life is beautiful. 😊

Hung my art in Philz Coffee at 9th and Gilman yesterday! It was so fun to put it up and satisfying to see it fit the space so well. Felt like a proud milestone to have my art in public, for the first time since 2012! Thank you Philz Coffee - Gilman for this opportunity, being so sweet through the process, & for being such a great asset to our neighborhood! Also, I’m well overdue for a huge thank you to Blick Art Materials for being super kind, helpful & fun when I burst in with art related freak outs! I love my neighborhood. Another painting from last weekend in Sonoma. A little study of these giant succulents, because I love them. I like how the texture turned out here & how the little cutie wraps around the canvas.. 😊 I’m still feeling out oil paints & surprising myself with them!

Just put the finishing “farkle” on this one! Was so much fun to paint! It’s a better late than never wedding gift for David & Julie! Painting is based on the location of their wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum in San Diego 💙💜💖🧡😘

Finished this little watercolor I started in Corsica on this cloudy Bay Area morning! It was too hot that day to function. Swipe for the scene of our workspace, the yacht that came in and killed my chances of a good photo of the landscape, leaving you just my pathetic self attempting to paint in the heat 😅😂💦. Happy Monday everyone!
