As we get closer to wrapping up construction and seeing everything come together, The Blue Door gals have so many thanks to give! š
We truly could not have asked for a more seamlessāor more funāexperience bringing this place to life. Weāve been lucky enough to work with an incredible team of people who have cared about The Blue Door right alongside us.
The stars of the show have been Mike K. Bell & Paul Cecil with MKB Construction. From day one, these guys have talked us through every step, listened to every idea (and there have been a lot), understood our vision, and found a way to make it happen. They consistently go above and beyond, and their attention to detail, organization, and craftsmanship have been unmatched. We are so grateful for the time and care theyāve poured into this place!
And a huge thank you to the many talented people who have had a hand in making The Blue Door what it is:
⢠Matt Roberts with CM Electrical Solutions
⢠Nickolas Garrett & his amazing mentorship for starting a business downtown and his team for bringing our original hardwood floors back to life
⢠Pat Jelinek for restoring and preserving the original brick
⢠Josh Ziegler for our custom built-ins & trim work
⢠Rodger Riggs and his daughter Autumn for painting
⢠Marshall Miller with Copperhead Interiors for any little detail, even our shop bell
⢠Bennieās Construction for the deck work, tackling our wonky blue door, our sign install, handrails, and all the extras in between
⢠Steve for our new concrete stairs and sidewalk
⢠Medley's Plumbing & HVAC
⢠3G Custom Vinyl
⢠Billy Nunn for drywall
⢠Superior Gutter Systems
⢠Lenny Martin Drafting for turning our vision into the architectural plans and blueprints that helped get it all started
⢠Matt Shelton with Wilson & Muir Bank for helping us navigate the business side of this dream
⢠Jessica Graham, Officer Jones, and Aaron Hawkins for sharing their advice, knowledge, and guidance
And to the local businesses that welcomed us in, helped get our name out there, and gave us a place to host workshops while The Blue Door was still becoming a realityāHubHaus, Bloom Bakery, Flywheel Brewing, The Cornerstone Fitness, The Dreamery, Revival Vintage Spirits Etown, The Straight and Narrow, Dewster's Homemade Ice Cream & Bakery, and Yokefellow Coffee Roasters āthank you for believing in us and giving us a place to get started.
It has taken a village to bring this old house back to life, and weāre incredibly thankful for ours. Every detail, every project, and every person has played a part in making The Blue Door feel like The Blue Door.
Weāre almost there! š
