🎭 Youth Dramatics is back this October! 🎃

All 6th–12th graders are welcome to come out and be a part of Youth Dramatics! Whether you’re already involved or this is your first time joining us, we’d love to have you there.

At our October meeting, we’ll have a chance to learn choreography for “Thriller” with Lexis Jenkins, see some of our Youth Dramatics members perform their own skits, and spend time preparing for the upcoming Hardin County Playhouse Ghost Walk for those who are participating or interested in getting involved.

We’ll also have opportunities for one-on-one conversations with Caynan for updates, questions, and—most importantly—a chance to hear directly from our Youth Dramatics students about their ideas, interests, and what they’d like to see from the program. 💚

🥤🍪 Youth Dramatics Leaders are committed to keeping our students safe and comfortable, which is why we will be making it a priority to provide water and if possible snacks during meetings. And parents are also welcome to voluntarily bring in snacks and/or water, we just ask that all ingredients be labeled.

We do accept donations to help support Youth Dramatics and provide these supplies, but donations are completely optional and never required to participate.

Come hang out, learn something new, perform, and have some fun with us! 🎭🧟‍♀️🎃

🌙Today is the LAST day to sign up to be a part of Ghost Walk! If you have already signed up to be a tour guide or storyteller, you have been assigned a part that will be shared with you at the October 4th meeting.🌙

🎃(PS if you are volunteering as a Youth Dramatic, you do NOT need to come to the October 4th meeting but you do not want to miss the next YD meeting on October 13th 6-830pm at the Colvin Community Center.)🎃

Hardin County Playhouse Ghost Walk Volunteer Sign-Up 👻🧟

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for this year’s Ghost Walk! We’re looking for storytellers and tour guides to help bring a spooky night of local tales to life throughout downtown Elizabethtown.

This year’s theme is ZOMBIES! 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️ Volunteers are encouraged to dress as zombies, ghosts, or other macabre characters to help create an eerie atmosphere along the route.

📅 Ghost Walk Dates
Friday, October 23rd & Saturday, October 24th
7:00–10:00 PM

All volunteers should arrive by 6:30 PM to check in and get into place before tours begin.

We will also have a private Ghost Walk event on Saturday, October 17th. More information about this event will be provided as details are finalized.

👻 Volunteer Roles
Storytellers — Ages 16+
Storytellers will be stationed at designated locations throughout downtown Elizabethtown and will perform the stories for each tour group as they arrive.

Tour Guides — Ages 18+
Tour guides will lead groups along the Ghost Walk route, taking guests from storyteller to storyteller and helping keep their group together and on schedule.
(If you are younger than 16 and in our Youth Dramatics program and wish to join the fun, please visit the YD page or contact Caynan Strausser for a seperate form!)

🗺️ Volunteer Meeting & Walk-Through
Sunday, October 4th at 6:30 PM

We ask volunteers to attend this meeting so we can assign roles, walk through the downtown route together, and review safety precautions, expectations, and event procedures.

The Ghost Walk takes place at various locations throughout downtown Elizabethtown, so volunteers should be prepared to spend much of the evening outdoors and, depending on their role, walking or standing for extended periods.
