Entries are in for Chowan County Regional Fair! So many have asked what I’ve been working on besides launching FlutterFire Pottery and attending so many vendor events this year. I learned how to make sourdough, built some fabulous sculptures, thrown over 75 mugs (y’all bought soooooooo many), graduated my youngest child from high school, perfected my apple pie recipe…. The list goes on. Some of what you see here will be going to the NC State Fair as well. Thank you all for your incredible support and loving my silly little mud pies.

Packing up submissions for the Chowan County Regional Fair to drop off tomorrow. I will post a few pictures after delivery. I’m so excited about my little pieces I worked on for this year.

You asked, it shall be done! After the Queen herself scooped up the Giant Mug that I made at the studio-just for funzies- several Citizens of the Shire at Harvest Faire were tripping over themselves to get one. Your petitions have been heard! I will be making more of these and will be available for at Yule Fest in December! Huzzah!

Oh Harvest Faire, how I adore thee! Rain or shine it’s always a wonderful time. My favorite highlights of the weekend was trinket trading with all of the little Faire goers (they are all so stinking cute with their little sprouts coming out of their heads), watching our queen scoop up the largest mug for sale ( it holds a quart!) and having the raffle winner come visit my booth and thank me personally for her piece (that was obviously made for her)

See y’all in December for Yule Fest!!!!

I normally am a fly by the seat of my pants creator. Not this time. I’m fixing to glaze the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever made, and now that it’s survived the bisque fire, I have to make some glaze test tiles.

Current playtime. I took a trip to Idaho recently and there is lavender growing everywhere. I took the opportunity to fill my suitcase (and even shipped myself a box!)with its fragrant blossoms. I’m rolling some out into little trays and dishes to share!

Y’all bought me clean out of shot glasses yesterday at Chubby's Farm & Fest and the mix and match mug special I had going was the clear winner. Don’t worry! I can make more! Thanks so much to everyone who came out, supported Chubby’s, were pro banana pudding, and supported your local small business vendors. We love you!
