Food for thought 🤔 Have you ever hesitated in coming to an event because of the cost? Trust me, I get it! I’ve been there myself with some things, too. 😰

However, I wanted to share this… these are all events in VA Beach or the surrounding area. Events that are very similar to Create&Celebrate paint nights. Please notice the cost of these events, nearly fifty per person. When I upped my pricing to thirty-five last year, I really struggled with it because I know very well how tight budgets can be.🤑😵‍💫

AND when you sign up and come to an event, you’re not only supporting a single income home, but making a dream come true. I love hosting these events for our community and I hope that I’m able for years to come! 🎨🥰

All that to say, you have a local and more cost efficient option right here in NENC, why go anywhere else?? ☺️

✨Happy 2026!✨

I figured starting a new year and with several new c&c members, I’d reintroduce myself, so…

Hi! My name is Mara and I am the owner and teacher of all things Create&Celebrate. I started c&c in 2015, several months after having my first daughter. I knew I needed something to do that not only was for myself, but also benefitted my new family of 3. Fast forward to 2026 and though the story has shifted a bit, my motivation is the same! A lot of love and hard work goes into running this little business but I love doing it, so thank you for being here!

I am the mom of two beautiful girls who are my entire world. They keep me going when the days get tough (and man have they been tough). I am also the assistant principal at Grandy Primary School… way out of my secondary art teacher comfort zone but I have grown so much professionally in education and I strive to continue! I was an art teacher for ten years, teaching middle and high school art. I took a leap of faith in 2020 and decided to go back to school to get my Masters in School Administration, joining the first cohort of the Pirate Leadership Academy through East Carolina University. And to be honest, six years later I’m still trying to find my “why” but I know I’ll get there one day! 😅

Since then, the past several years have been an absolute rollercoaster of emotions for me, both personally and professionally (IYKYK). But my love for my girls and doing what I do best with c&c hasn’t changed. I’m looking forward to continued growth for myself in more ways than one for 2026- in my home, my profession, and my faith. So here’s to another year of creating and celebrating with all of you! 🍻🎨🎉
