Are you a writer in search of an opportunity for feedback and community? Join the Elizabeth City Writers Studio!

✏️ The Elizabeth City Writers Studio's summer meetings are free to attend and will take place July 11, July 25, August 8, and August 29 from 12-2 PM at the AOA Madrin Studio (115 N Poindexter St).

The group is a collection of writers collaborating to elevate their literary skills with the intent of developing publishable or saleable works. During the twice-monthly, 2 hour sessions, you'll spend the first hour offering critiques of works in progress, and the second hour reviewing the craft and business of writing (copy-editing, story structure, diction, description, etc.).

Writers of all levels working on short or long-form narratives (short stories/essays, and novels/books) are welcome!

🎨 Artist Spotlight: John Peel Pottery

There’s something special about handmade pottery. The subtle variations, the textures, the way each piece feels in your hands. John Peel’s work captures all of that beautifully.

Featuring rich blue glazes and thoughtful craftsmanship, his collection includes mugs, bowls, vases, teapots, and more. Every piece is made by hand, giving it its own unique character and charm.

Stop by Arts of the Albemarle to see John’s work up close and discover a piece that speaks to you!✨
