One of the things we loved most about the Sasquatch Festival was the people who came together to make it what it was — including the incredibly talented musicians who shared their music with our community.

Many of you may remember Colette Jones, who performed at this year’s festival. Colette and her family are now facing something no family expects to face.

Her husband, Shawn Jones, was recently diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) after becoming seriously ill and being hospitalized. He is currently undergoing care as doctors prepare him for intensive leukemia treatment through UW Medical Center.

Along with the tremendous emotional weight of Shawn’s diagnosis, the family has lost their primary source of income and is facing expenses for housing, food, transportation, medical care, travel for treatment, and simply keeping everyday life moving while Shawn focuses on getting well.

When someone who helped bring a little music and joy to our community needs that community to rally around them, we want to help however we can.

If you're able to donate, even a small amount can help. And if donating isn't possible right now, sharing their GoFundMe is another wonderful way to support Shawn, Colette, and their family during the long road ahead.

Please keep this family in your thoughts and send them all the strength, love, and Bigfoot-sized support we can muster.

Well… something’s stirring in the woods.

After a few weeks of post-festival hibernation, the Sasquatch Festival crew is slowly emerging from our caves, brushing the pine needles out of our fur, and returning to civilization.

And now that we’ve had a minute to recover… we have SO much to share.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be digging through and sharing photos, videos, favorite moments, stories, and memories from the 2026 Elgin Sasquatch Festival. We’ll also be rolling out our post-event surveys for attendees, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, committee members, and local businesses. Your feedback is incredibly important as we look at what worked, what we can improve, and what kind of mischief Sasquatch should get into next year.

But before we get too far down the trail, we need to say a HUGE THANK YOU.

To our volunteers and paid event crew who jumped in wherever they were needed…

To our musicians, performers, speakers, and entertainers who kept things going…

To our vendors who packed downtown Elgin…

To our sponsors who believed in this slightly ridiculous idea and helped make it possible…

To our community partners, local businesses, organizations, City crews, emergency personnel, and everyone behind the scenes who helped us pull it all together…

And to every single person who showed up.

You helped turn a brand-new idea into something pretty darn special.

We also appreciate everyone who has been patient with us while our little volunteer crew took some much-needed time to recover after the event. Putting on Sasquatch took a village, and apparently the village needed a nap.

But hibernation is ending.

Keep an eye on this page for photos, memories, surveys, recaps and plenty more from 2026. And over the next few months, we’ll start dropping updates about Elgin Sasquatch Festival 2027 as we get the next adventure rolling.

Turns out you can’t keep Sasquatch hidden for long.

After an incredible inaugural Elgin Sasquatch Festival, we wanted to share a quick update with our community.

Our social media is currently managed by just one volunteer admin. Between months of planning, a whirlwind festival weekend, a full-time job, and catching up on messages, comments, and emails, it's time for a short, well-earned break through the rest of this week.

Our thank-you posts, photo highlights, giveaway winner, and Downtown Business Decoration Awards will all resume next week after our comittee meets.

Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for making the very first Elgin Sasquatch Festival something truly special. We can't wait to continue celebrating everyone who helped make it happen.

P.S. Since I'm the one writing this... yes, it's incredibly weird talking about myself in the third person. 😂

We want to extend a HUGE thank you to the Elgin High School Class of 2027 for all of your hard work helping with festival setup and takedown. Your willingness to jump in and lend a hand made a tremendous difference, and we truly couldn't have done it without you!

We also want to thank the Elgin High School Band students for joining us at the festival. We hope your fundraising efforts were a huge success and helped you reach some major goals. We were so glad to have you as part of the day!

One of our goals with the Elgin Sasquatch Festival is to create opportunities for OUR community. That's why we proudly offered free vendor spaces to student groups and nonprofit organizations, giving them a chance to raise funds, share their missions, and connect with the community.

So again.
Thank you!
