“When I first wanted to join EYSO a few years ago, my family and I were worried that the tuition cost would be too much of a burden. But the financial assistance provided by EYSO’s community gave me the opportunity to continue my playing at such a high level.”

EYSO provides tuition assistance to any student who requests it – nearly 1 in 5 young musicians. The McGraw Foundation in Dundee, Illinois has committed to match every gift to EYSO's Tuition Assistance Fund, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000 to help sustain that.

Your generosity ensures that:
🎵No student is turned away due to financial need.
🎼Every musician can focus on growing their skills, not worrying about costs.
🎻 Our community continues to be enriched by the diverse voices of young artists.

Double your dollar today. Make a gift at eyso.org/give.

We’ve had so much music music and SO MUCH fun this weekend. (Including a bunch of tennis balls 🎾 your eyes are not deceiving you.)

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to ECC in a few weeks when we start back up with regular Sunday rehearsals!

Things tend to be quieter over the summer here as we prepare for the year ahead — but one program we love over the summer is the Summer Chamber Music Camp! 🎶✨

Over one week, nearly 30 young chamber musicians got a taste of what life as a professional musician can be like. From focused rehearsals to the beautiful final performances, these musicians brought dedication, collaboration, and artistry to every moment. 🎻 In addition to daily rehearsals and coaching with professional artists, students got to explore composition, conducting, instrument making, and more.

A special thank you to our guest artists and teachers, including artists in residence String Quartet, for inspiring and guiding our students during the week!

Psst… there’s still time to join EYSO! 🎻✨

We are still accepting auditions for Primo and Prelude, our string orchestras for students in 4th–8th grade.

Do you know a young string player looking to grow their skills? We’d love to hear from them!

Learn more about audition requirements and submit your application at EYSO.org/Auditions.
