What a great art weekend for ECC art students! .vilchis and had the opportunity to attend portfolio reviews at thanks to the generosity of ECC alum ! Then took to the road and set up shop selling their art at the at the ! If you see these artists out in the world, high five them and show them your support.

FREE MOVIE NIGHT + RAFFLE!

This coming Wednesday, celebrate Vincent Van Gogh’s birthday with a free movie night, courtesy of the Art and Design Club! Bring a friend or two! 🎬

ADC will also be selling concessions in front of the auditorium on the day of! This includes popcorn 🍿 as well as other candies and chips. Each purchase is an entry into a raffle for a Van Gogh / art material based basket, so be sure to stop by and pick up some snacks!

What a week for ECC Art and Design! We had a reception for our current show with , our student work won some awards on Saturday in the Skyway Art competition, and the art and design club took a trip to the Art Institute of Chicago. Art, Art, Art!

Join us tonight for the official opening reception of D*fferent S**t, D*fferent Day. The exhibition is a collection of screen prints on paper with limited colors and materials to push boundaries into unlimited possibilities.

Come see all 32 works! Pieces like “divide and conquer” or “ya drank the Kool-Aid, then spilled it” will trick your eye and provoke your mind into thinking about how to work around the parameters that may limit someone.

Some images from our very own Art & Design Club! Their meeting today was in the Ceramics room in H107, where they got to experiment and create with red clay, regardless of their prior skill level or experiences with the material. The pieces are now all out aside and will be fired in the kiln later.

Huge thanks to the 3D Arts department for granting ADC and all its members a chance to work with clay in a ceramics room. This is your sign to enroll in some of our 3D Arts programs at ECC, including ceramics but also jewelry, sculpture, and so much more.

Audio on for this one! We did a time-lapse for the installation, and the students didn’t realize it had finished just in time. They were super disappointed that it “didn’t” record. Here’s the fun proof that I did press record!
