Femmeprov Femmeprov is both an acting company and a workshop provider. Performances by our traveling feminist improvisation company may be arranged for your group.

Workshops on improvisation technigues and multi-modal creative arts self-expression are available as well.

Casting 15-20 women ages 16+ for a musical review to be produced in the 2025/2026 season. Material is controversial and contemporary, and preference will be given to those who can sing and/ or dance quite well. Improve improvisational ability is always a plus and writer types are more than welcome to apply to join our company. Women will be playing male roles as well as female roles. The completed cast will be multi-cultural , multi-racial, and multigenerational. This will be Gareth Mann’s third full-length musical(there have been several betweeen 30-60 minutes ) to be produced in the Fox Valley area. Please contact Gareth directly with a message to her FB page or a message on the Femmeprov page. Individual audition appointments will be available in January of 2025.

The older I get, the more I understand how important and beautiful it is to be loved for being exactly who we are.

Many of us learned that love is conditional. If we're performing or people pleasing, then we will be loved more deeply and fiercely.

My hope for us all is that we experience authentic love for being who we are in the world.

If you are planning to attend the Poetry picnic event at 6:30 on Tuesday, August 15 behind the Gail Borden public library, please register. In case we have inclement weather, we will need to move inside. Please tell your friends, and if you know any poets in the area, please let them know there will be an opportunity for them to share a poem as well. Hope you see you there!

Just a reminder that the Celebration of Life for my husband Paul Sitz will be Sunday November 6 at 2PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elgin. Femmeprov’s Halloween Extravaganza at the Gail Borden Library today was spooky fun!! (L-R - Patricia Rataj, Joy Werner Bang, Gareth Mann, Marilyn House, Shirley May Brynes, Madeline Franklin).
