Small snapshots from family.

This was my world growing up. Standing in the Grandma's garden to be in a picture with her flowers or garden ornamentations. This was my pattern of life.

It was the simple life.

Come out to see new works of art at Homestead Art's Artsy Fartsy Event this Saturday from 5-8. I will be set up with four other artists for a fabulous evening celebrating the arts! Please join us!

Can't make it, but you want to see the new works? Stop by the studio in Eldridge:

Rain, rain, I ran away.

Just a reminder the studio is closed this week because I ran away from home.

Today we went to Costco and ate delicious sushi box lunches. Hmmm, what will we do tomorrow? I can't wait to find out!

Here is to a fun week with mom and dreaming of Christmas Joy in the studio.

It is almost time for glitter and magic.

I had the absolute joy of having a birthday party in the studio Saturday morning. The girls were a delight and did a great job on a difficult painting.

Thank you for letting me paint with you for your party and Happy Birthday, Ahna!

It's a blue-sky day here in the little historic downtown of Eldridge, Iowa. I am Julie and this is my little slice of Heaven.

I have the privilege to occupy the first bank established in Eldridge. Eldridge Savings Bank was established in 1899. This wonderful square box building has changed some over the years, from bank to telephone office, to a barber shop, hair salon, ice cream, clock repair, and now art studio for ME!

Why am I going through some history? Well, because it is almost my three-year anniversary for being in this space making art. This gem in our little historic area.

The walls are filled with art, and I am continuing to work in the back room making and creating. Like I said...my slice of Heaven.

This week:
Wednesday 10-2
4-6 Miss Effie's FarmHers Market (THIS IS THE LAST ONE!)
Thursday 10-4
Sunday 11-3 @ Miss Effie's Fall Fest

Look ahead: That Artsy Fartsy Event October 10 5-8 Art in DeWitt.

Hours will be shifting a little with the end of summer, so watch for the scheduled days and hours. Remember, there are many days I have pop open...it's because there is space for you to safely walk into the building without tripping on wet canvas.

See you soon!
