That’s a wrap…

Recital 2026 was a whirlwind week of feathers, glitter, laughter, smiles, and a few tears.

It’s always a bittersweet moment, filled with pride and gratitude for the incredible growth each of our dancers has achieved this year. I’m overflowing with love for dance, and sharing that passion with my students is one of life’s greatest blessings.

To be able to share my passion with these young dancers and form unbreakable bonds is truly spectacular. Words can’t capture the depth of connection I feel with these kids. This experience has changed me forever, and I’m eternally grateful.

This year, we had the privilege of guiding four talented dancers who graduated from our studio. Each brought their unique spark, and together, they were a force. I feel honored to have been their dance teacher. Though their departure leaves a void, today my heart is heavy with love and appreciation for the time we had together. “How lucky are we to have something special that makes saying goodbye so hard.” I love you girls, and this studio will forever be your home.

After a brief break, we’ll be back at the end of June for competition team tryouts and summer classes. Stay tuned for more information on both in the coming days!

When you earn a Flashback Friday on your studio alum page…you share!

Dance has been such a part of my life for so long. I am grateful for my years at Betty Hill. It provided a great foundation, that still holds firm today! It’s hard to believe this was 30 years ago.

Life update from Anna. If you know me, I never miss work or dance. Unless I’m seriously ill. This time it’s just that. I’m battling a massive infection that has taken hold in the soft tissue of my face, but I’m staying positive. I might look a bit like Quasimodo at the moment, but time at the hospital and some CT scans have given us a clear path forward - it’s just a tough infection that needs time to heal.

The real challenge is that it’s left me feeling totally knocked out. So you won’t see me in class this week, but I’m grateful for an incredible support system. Thanks to Ally, Haley, and Mallory for stepping in without hesitation to keep classes running smoothly. And special thanks to Haley for being a rockstar and driving me to the ER and hanging there during a tornado warning.

I’m looking forward to being back to full strength next week. In the meantime, I’m giving myself some extra time to recover and will delay handing out costumes by a week. If you have any questions, please let me know.
