So as most of you know by now, WHQ is shutting down forever! It’s been a good long run these last 8 years or so, and this was Kelli Tuck’s production co base of operations before then (since 2010. Much wonderful music, TV & film has been created here but that time is over. We have to be completely out by 12/1/21. A lot has already been removed, including most of the equipment on the stage and many personal belongings, but there is only 6 weeks left before we need to have this place “broom clean” in order to receive our compensation for breaking our lease & moving out early(at the specific request of the new owner)
Nothing is finalized yet, but our next door neighbor at South Bay Customs MAY be moving into this space when we leave as THEIR building has also been sold as well.
It has been a long uphill battle, but we have been on great terms with them for a couple of years now and are trying to facilitate their move from next door as they plan on using this great stage that we built. Upgrades and changes by them are too numerous to mention at this point, but Michael has graciously offered to allow us to hold sober jams here periodically after the transition is complete.
I am not sure if I will close this venue page down completely or repurpose it for my personal music/band/events.
Below you see the partially cleared stage and more equipment will be pulled out and set up to sell or given to good homes. PAs, guitar amps, drums & percussion stuff. So keep your eye out for future announcements as EVERYTHING MUST GO!
