The back story:
This is a vintage hand colored photograph of the Old Lunch Counter at the Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs. Back before it was sold, upgraded/renovated and became hootsy tootsie ..The Springs has been a place of healing
way before the Hispanics and Anglos arrived in “The land of Enchantment”
Word has it, that back in the day,
Georgia O’Keefe would come to the Healing Waters..
and sit at the lunch counter for a bite after her soak..

Second Mesa Dancer
This is an image of spirit and place. A Hopi Butterfly Dancer is blended with a rock formation in the cliffs near Second Mesa Arizona. The dancer was performing with her group at an event in Santa Fe.
The Traditional Hopi People have the oldest complete ceremonial cycle on this continent. Continuing to celebrate the gift of life and its blessings through an annual cycle of ceremonies. A time set aside sending prayers of thanksgiving through traditional dances and songs that have been passed on from generation to generation.
