The Texas Collective officially began on June 1, 2025. With less than 90 days before Miss Gay Texas USofA, we hit the ground running. Just 30 days after Miss Gay Texas USofA, we produced Mr. Gay Texas USofA, followed only 30 days later by Mister and Miss Gay Texas USofA At Large. It was far from an easy journey, but it was a challenge that each of us accepted with determination, pride, and celebration.
As we enter our second court, we do so with the honor of celebrating the remarkable individuals who became our very first state titleholders. These four champions contributed to the Texas Collective in ways that words can hardly express. They gave of themselves selflessly and helped shape the organization into what it is today.
We are forever grateful not only for what each of them brought to the Collective, but also for the incredible futures that lie ahead of them. They extended grace and patience to us as we learned and grew, just as we remained committed to supporting them throughout their reigns.
To Diamond Dior Davenport, thank you for your innovation, creativity, and unmatched logistical mind.
To Arnold A Jordan AJ Davenport, thank you for your calm spirit, unwavering positivity, and your gift for building and strengthening our team.
To Alexander Davenport, thank you for your professionalism, leadership, and exceptional administrative abilities.
And to Jazell Lakeshia Harvey, thank you for sharing your wisdom, your professionalism, and for always being willing to “take one for the team” whenever it was needed.
There is no need to speak on talent because every single time each of you stepped onto a stage, excellence followed. Your performances spoke for themselves.
Looking back, it was the questions, the challenges, the moments of resistance, and the honest feedback that pushed us to become better. Without those moments, we may not have made it through our first six months. Instead, they became the foundation upon which we continue to build.
Always remember that you were our first. That distinction means something that can never be duplicated. You are our blueprint. You are part of the foundation of the Texas Collective, and your names will forever be woven into our history. Your legacy is not simply in the titles you held, but in the standard you helped establish for everyone who will follow.
We love each of you, we honor each of you, and we cherish the journey we shared together. No matter where life leads you, please know that you will always have a home with the Texas Collective.
