Lots of people think that DIY just means pouring concrete, but it's a lot more complicated than that. Pouring the concrete is the fun part... Just allocating, collecting, and storing material, actually physically getting the material down to the spot, framing, running fundraisers, spot clean up/maintenance, keeping everyone hyped/involved, negotiating with local entities/authorities, trying to learn new techniques while not wasting precious materials... It can get a little overwhelming if you don't have a plan, somewhere to store materials, a perfect location for your DIY, and lots of support from the local scene. Some of this stuff can be more overwhelming than the actual pouring of the concrete. Just know if you start a DIY, you're opening a huge can of worms.
These projects are never a one-man operation. It takes a village.
Thank you to everyone who has made this possible! Lots of people have put in countless amounts of effort to make this possible! Thank you all!
